25th January 2010- we're just back from taking 'Ttarrag Shed' to Alexandra Palace for the engineering show.Ttarrag shed was the only 32mm gauge, 16mm scale layout there & a lot of interest was generated. It's always nice to go to a show that's a different angle so to speak - many of the model engineering people hadn't seen us before, so there were lots of questions to answer!
Here we see the boys in action on the Saturday. On the left of the group is Chris Moody attending to 'South Arbury Conquerer' & on the right is Max Hampson looking after his coal fired NGG16. Julian Smith & John Sowerby talk over the finer points of a Garratt subject in the middle. In the front, right of the photo, John's NGG16 simmers gently, John having just replenished the coal & water.
